Events at Broadway
Don’t let the title fool you, we’re talking about our Broadway store. We talk a lot about the events taking place at our 112th Street store, but our Broadway and 114th Street location hosts a number of events as well. Their store is aimed at younger children and their parents; it’s the perfect place to go for some fun and educational bonding time. Or, a great place for your babysitter to bring the kids on a rainy day. There are always events listed on our children’s site.
They host weekly events:
Tuesday and Wednesday there are French Storytimes starting at 4pm
Friday has English Storytime at 10:30 am and Spanish Storytime at 3:30 pm
Saturday has another Spanish Storytime starting at 3:30 pm
The Broadway store also hosts author readings.
This is the story of how Frances Peabody came to live in New York City. Frances was a brave little dachshund who was born in a small New England town. Although she was very sick when she came into this world, Frances was able to overcome her illness, travel to different places, and make many friends.
On April 6th at 11 am Caron Levis will be reading her book Stuck with the Blooz. The reading will be followed by drama games and activities with the author.
Caron Levis enjoys working with kids, using drama and writing to teach social, emotional, communication, and literacy skills. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from the New School University and lives in her hometown of New York City. Stuck with the Blooz is her first book.
