NEW! Burton Backpacks

As a bookstore located in Morningside Heights, just down the street from Columbia University, it is only appropriate that we carry backpacks for our textbook carrying customers. The newest addition to our backpack collection are Burton backpacks. Burton was originally a snowboarding company, making products for the land-surfers since the 70’s. Their packs are sleek and functional, and offer ample opopportunity for organization. Compartments located inside the bag allows you to separate your laptop from your books. Pockets located on the outside of the pack make it easy to store items that need to be readily accessible, like your keys or Metro card. Burton backpacks are even padded to protect your back from discomfort and excess sweating. Their backpacks are equipped with straps to secure a skateboard, if that is your preferred mode of transportation. There is also a strap that can be secured around your waist to ensure that your backpack stays comfortable on your shoulders as you cruise through campus.

Since the founding of Burton, the company has expanded greatly; creating products with an underground aesthetic made for those of us who are not as graceful on a snowboard. All of the Book Culture employees are excited to have the Burton backpacks on display in our store. My coworkers cannot get enough of these bags. With product names like “Cheeky Plaid” and “Hot Bandana,” who could? Burton backpacks are great as a day pack or an overnight bag, take them to the skate park, or on a weekend trip to the beach.

Both Book Culture locations, 112th street and 114th street on Broadway, has stock of these backpacks. But don’t fret if your can’t make it into the store; you can always order them on our website over the phone 212.865.1588 .
