What Ed Park’s Students Are Reading

Ed Park, a founding editor of The Believer and author of Personal Days, is currently teaching two classes at Columbia University. He received his M.F.A. at Columbia, and this semester is a lecturer in the graduate writing program. His two courses are The First Person and A Comic Novel. Here’s a look at the required reading for the comic novel class:

    No Lucky Jim? Too obvious? Anyway, it looks like a great list. A couple of books on there that I haven’t gotten to yet, which is always nice to see.

    Glad you found some new titles to add to your reading list Patrick!

    This won’t help you, but for those reading this who live near our store, we have set up a display with some of these titles on the downstairs pillar near the staircase. Just in case you wanted to pick any up 🙂
