Les livres pour une bonne cause

french-dictionaries.jpgOver 100 French-English dictionaries left our store yesterday, in a box bound for Africa!

A donation request from Orphans of Rwanda (a non-profit that finances university education for students in the country) sent us searching stock to see if we could help. Our Executive Manager, Annie, hunted down 85 copies of a mini French-English dictionary and 32 of a larger pocket size edition. (French, English and Kinyarwanda are all official languages of the country.)

The books will be hand-delivered by ORI’s Executive Director, Michael Brotchner, who will be visiting the organization’s program headquarters in Kigali next week. This video presents a good overview of the work that ORI is doing.

It’s nice to know that we were able to help in some small way.
