Please join us for a reading and discussion given by Ray Negron and Sally Cook for their new book, Yankee Miracles: Life with the Boss and the Bronx Bombers on
Wednesday, December 5th at 7pm.
This book chronicles Ray Negron’s journey from being a 17-year-old graffiti artist to becoming an essential part of the New York Yankees team.
Ray Negron is the author of three children’s books, The Boy of Steel, The Greatest Story Never Told: The Babe and Jackie and One Last Time: Goodbye To Yankee Stadium. Ray currently works with the New York Yankees as a personal consultant and is active in community affairs, visiting schools and hospitals with the players. He is also the executive producer of “Henry & Me,” an animated film to be released in the spring 2013.
Sally Cook is the co-author with James Charlton of Hey Batta Batta Swing! The Wild Old Days of Baseball, illustrated by Ross
MacDonald. She is also the special adviser for the book club at Project Sunshine, a nonprofit organization that provides free recreational and educational programs for children with medical challenges.
